Step by step way to check traffic metrics and stats using cpanel metrics tab
You can check your website traffic metrics using Cpanel . With using cpanle you have no need to get any external software to get metrics and stats such as visitors and bandwidth . To check it ,login to your cpanel . After login go down in the “Metrics ” section .
In this section user can check traffic sources for his/her domains . To check the traffic source ,click on Visitors tab in Metrics section . All of domains and sub domains are listed in this page . Locate the domain and click on lens icon in from of domain name or sub domain for which you want to track the traffic source .
Suppose you have multiple domains in one account and your want to track the visitor of a specific domain “www.example.com” ,then click on lens icon in front of the example.com . Know you will see all of the visitors of this domain name . You can see the the following information of the visitor .
- IP addresses of the visitors .
- Visited URL .
- Time of Visit .
- Total size of transferred data .
With this way user can check the last 30 days activity of the visitors on the website .
This function will display the last 300 errors for your site. This can be very useful for finding broken links or problems with missing files. Checking this log frequently can help keep your site running smoothly.
You have to no needed to do anything to find basic errors of the website . Just click on the Error tab and errors are displayed on the webpage .
This function allows you to see the bandwidth usage for your site. It shows the current month’s bandwidth usage, as well as your total bandwidth usage.
This will include all HTTP (web) and POP (mail) bandwidth usage, and may include FTP bandwidth usage if your system administrator has enabled FTP bandwidth logging. Using this function you can find how much data is used for a specific domain or all domains .
As showing in following image you can find the bandwidth usage of specific domain for specific time or specific month . Suppose you want to know how much data is used in January 2016 , then find the color code of your domain name in the Jan 2016 and just click on “Click to show” .
Using this way you can compare the bandwidth usage for your all domain in one account .
Raw Access Logs allow you to see who has visited your website without displaying graphs, charts, or other graphics. You can use the Raw Access Logs menu to download a zipped version of the server’s access log for your site. This can be very useful when you want to quickly see who has visited your site.
Awstats produces visual statistics about visitors of your site. To view these stats click on “Awstats” . Find the domain for which you want to get details and click on view button in front of the domain name .
In this field you can get very useful metrics of your website .
- Unique visitor of your website .
- Page view of the website .
- Number of page visits .
- Hits on pages .
- Bandwidth of the website .
User can check these stats by week or by month
This function allows you to choose what stats programs you will use when viewing site statistics, if you are allowed to do so.
