Solution-windows apps not working or apps not opening
In windows latest versions windows 10 or windows 8 Microsoft introduced lots of security features . UAC or User account control setting is one of the windows security feature . But Lots of windows 10 and window 8 users face an issue with it. If user have only one User account is windows the he/she can’t open some windows apps . When he/she try to open windows basic apps such as calculator app or internet explorer at the same the error comes “This app can’t open with built in administrator account” . The error is due to user account restrictions . In the next 2 steps i show you how to solve the issue .
2 Steps to solve the problem
- Enable UAC or user control setting to recommended
- Enable – Allow UIaccess application in local security policy
Step 1 Enable UAC or user control setting to recommended
Go to search menu and the type “Change user account control settings” . Locate the app and open it. Set the control settings to second option “Recommended if you use familiar app and visit familiar websites “. Then click ok to save .
Step 2 . Enable – Allow UIaccess application in local security policy
In step 2 go to search bar again and type “Local Security Policy” .In this window go to “Local Policies” and click on arrow to expand the tab . Under the local policies ,go to “Security Options” and expand it . In the right side window you can see all of the security policies of the pc . Locate the policy with name “User Account Control: Allow UIAcess application to prompt for elevation without using the secure desktop” . Double click on it . Enable the policy and click on apply button .
To make changes effect restart your pc . After restart the pc all of you apps will open correctly .For more details watch the video .
